
With tomorrow being the first day of school, please remember to send in a note if your student(s) will be getting off the bus anywhere but home, like at a daycare provider. You may send in one note for the year if your child is consistently going somewhere other then home after school. ( or if they need to be picked up from somewhere other then home)
If we do not have a note, then your child will ride the bus to their home address. If no one is there to meet the child from the bus, they will have to come back to the school and picked up here.

Here is the 2019/2020 Whitefield School bus schedule. Please look at it carefully and note the changes. There have been some changes to the bus routes and the drivers doing them. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school at 549-7691.


Come join us for our Back to School Open House on August 26th, 6:00-7:00pm. The Whitefield PTA will be providing refreshments in the gym.

Sheepscot Valley Church is holding a free event on the Whitefield School grounds on Sunday August 18th, 2pm-5pm. It is a back to school celebration with free food, games and a bounce house.

School starts in 4 weeks. Need some some ideas for school shopping? Want to look cool and show off your school pride? Head over to the Elliott Office Products website ( www.eop-inc.com) and check out their Whitefield School catalog. A percentage of all sales goes into our school athletics program. It helps pay for much needed equipment, uniforms and tournament fees, among other things.


We still have community calendars ( dates go to April 2020) and 2019 yearbooks still available for sale. If you would like one, please stop by the school Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:00pm or you can email aperkins@svrsu.org to reserve one. Calendars are $7 each and yearbooks are $12 each.



The first day of school is quickly approaching ( only 5 1/2 weeks). For those looking to get an early start on school shopping, here is the class supply lists for students.
KINDERGARTEN: A two pocket folder and a backpack. Students should pack a snack for themselves everyday.
1ST GRADE: Sharpened #2 pencils, 16 count crayons, eraser, scissors, glue stick, backpack and students should pack themselves a daily snack. Mrs. Lamothe will provide the take home folder. For anyone wishing to donate to the class, Mrs. Lamothe is asking for tissues, paper towels and Clorox wipes.
2ND GRADE: Sharpened #2 pencils ( lots of pencils), 5 spiral notebooks ( any color, pattern or design), 2, 1 1/2 inch 3-ring binders (any color or design) and daily snack
3RD GRADE: Pencils, crayons, colored pencils, markers, 2 red pens for correcting and a daily snack. A donation of mechanical pencils for the classroom would be much appreciated.
4TH GRADE: Good quality # 2 pencils, colored pencils and/or crayons, 2-3 folders for homework and classwork transportation, red pens for correcting, glue sticks, an assignment notebook and a daily snack. Mr. Trask asks that NO GLITTER be brought into the classroom.
5TH GRADE: To be announced at a later date.

We do have a new 5th grade teacher, ELA teacher and Math teacher. We will post if additional supplies for those classes are needed. Middle school students will have an option of using a digital assignment notebook if desired.
If you need some assistance in acquiring needed school supplies, please call the school. We often have school supplies donated to us during the summer.
And as always, we accept and greatly appreciate any donations for school supplies through out the year.


We would like to welcome our new teachers.
Molly Brewer will be teaching 5th grade.
Crystal Crowell will be teaching middle school math and will have the 6th grade for homeroom.
Kelley Capen will be teaching middle school ELA/Reading and will have the 7th grade for homeroom.

Whitefield School and all schools in RSU 12 have a need for substitutes in all areas, whether it be teachers, ed techs, kitchen, custodial, bus drivers or office. If you have ever thought of subbing at Whitefield School, now is the time to get the process rolling to be ready for the 2019/2020 school year. Whitefield School has a Kitchen Manager/ Head Cook position open. A Kitchen Manager oversees the kitchen that provides breakfast and lunch as part of the RSU 12 food service program. This is an eight hour per day position. To apply for this position visit www.svrsu.org

On Monday, July 1st the internet and phone services will be down at the school, however the front office will remain open from 7:30am until 2:00pm.
The School will be closed on July 4th and July 5th.

On most days this summer the front office is open from 7:30am-3:30pm, but please call in advance to makes sure someone is will be here to help you with your needs.
