We're not giving up on having the lobster roll and you shouldn't either! We truly hope to be back in session tomorrow and if we are, we will be having the LOBSTER ROLL LUNCH!! Don't forget if you don't like lobster there is a hamburger for an option instead.
There are still too many impassable roads throughout RSU 12 and extensive power outages, so all RSU 12 schools are closed again tomorrow, Wednesday, December 20th.
Keys found in the Whitefield School parking lot last week. Looks like they had been there a while. Please contact the school if they are yours.
Don't forget that tomorrow ( 12/20) is Ugly Sweater/ Holiday Sweater Day at school. Students will also be able to vote for the staff member with the ugliest sweater!
Are your students sad because school was cancelled today and they missed out on the Lobster Roll for school lunch today? Dry those tears because we will be serving the lobster rolls tomorrow, December 20th. ( fingers crossed that we are back at school)
We hope everyone is safe and staying warm while we wait for the roads to get cleaned up and power back on.
Due to the extensive power outages and blocked roads, all RSU 12 schools are closed today, Tuesday, December 19th.
Due to storm damage and power outages, we will have a two-hour delay tomorrow morning, December 19th. This delay will allow time for cleanup and assessment of the situation. Depending on the assessment, we may need to cancel school for the whole day tomorrow. Another communication will be sent out tomorrow morning at around 7 am with an update on whether or not school will be canceled for the day.
There are many roads blocked throughout RSU 12. Please expect your student to be late getting home today. Also, some phones may down in some of our buildings. If you can not get through to the office, then you can try to email the office. Thank you for your patience as we work to get everyone home safely.
Due to very high winds this afternoon and concern about roads being blocked and buses not being able to get students home, all RSU 12 schools are dismissing at 11:30 am today, December 18th, before more trees block roads.

Every year district-wide we look for student feedback on school climate. The school climate survey is designed to provide us with information regarding how students feel about their school.
The School Climate Survey: Elementary issued for grades 3-6/ Secondary Level Survey for grades 7-8, is an anonymous survey used to identify school climate issues within our school. The survey for elementary school students includes 11 questions/9 questions for secondary and should take no more than 10–15 minutes to complete. The survey is anonymous, but parents/guardians should be given the option to opt-out if desired. The data collected from the survey will be used to identify student perceptions of school climate issues within our school. School staff use the results to inform our efforts at improving our school climate. Responses are housed securely in an anonymous format with the University of Oregon Technical Assistance Center projects for evaluation research purposes.
If you do not wish for your child to participate in this important activity or want a copy of the survey, please email Meagan Bowdoin @ mbowdoin@svrsu.org.

If this causes any issues for you, we encourage you to pick your students here at the end of the day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
To parents who placed RADA orders:
The PTA will be at tonight's winter concert. RADA orders can be picked up then. Due to the nature of the products sold through RADA, students will not be able to take them home on the bus, so please try to stop by the school tonight and pick them up. The concert starts at 6pm.
Please see the attached flyer for a community dinner at the Calvary Baptist Church.
This is not an RSU 12 sponsored event.
