RSU 12 is excited to share this information from the Maine Department of Education. Some of our teachers are involved in this project! Many thanks to them and to all of the teachers that made this possible.
Maine Public, the Maine Department of Education, and Educate Maine have joined forces to create original, educational programming for grade school students in Grades 3 to 5.
Dedicated teachers from across Maine have developed original video lessons, pulling content from their own lesson plans and sources to provide exceptional learning opportunities for Maine students.
The Learning Space will be broadcast on Maine Public Television at 12:30 p.m. each weekday starting on Monday, April 27. As more episodes are developed, the broadcast schedule will expand to run from Noon to 1:00. Episodes of The Learning Space will be archived for later viewing on numerous platforms online including on mainepublic.org. The Learning Space will air through the spring to mid-June.

Kameron is rocking this science and math stuff as he builds lava lamps and his very own trailer for his four wheeler. Hey Kameron did you have to use any math to build that? Great job

Cameron, did you help build this. Looks like an awesome trailer

Unless conditions change, RSU 12 classrooms will remain closed and RSU 12 students will continue distance learning until the last day of school, June 12th. Find more information about this extended classroom closure here, https://5il.co/fa08
Thank you Mrs Acosta for giving the kids a chance to see each other on Zoom. And thank you Mrs Beeckel for a fun new learning tool..Happy Numbers. They miss you both so much.

Jaxon responded to an email from mrs. Abate with an email himself and an awesome picture. He said we could share. Hi Ms Abate! I miss you and hope to see you soon! I'm doing fine but getting bored. Isaac annoys me. I was looking forward to basketball season starting but everything is canceled now. I've been playing a lot with my dog and playing games and video games. I've been taking time to read and practice school stuff every day.

Look who zoomed with ms. taylor last night. So proud of all of you for continuing your learning and your connections with your classmates and teachers. Can't wait for school to reopen

Better days are ahead. We are sure of it!! After a great day of schoolwork with Nana, we are outside and enjoying this wonderful weather. That is the smartest thing to do because you never know we might have snow tomorrow. We do live in Maine.

School packets are done for the day so its cabin building time. We worked so hard a snack was in order . Already you are going to get a very long weekend

Hey check out these pieces of collaborative math done by groups of students in their ZOOM classes this week! Mrs, Wells meets with her math classes weekly. There is a lot of fun to be had AND you get to do fun math together. Please remind your middle school child that they should be logging on to the zoom.

Snow Day fun!

We were going to have a snow day today but decided to do our work packets and have some fun in the snow in between. Boy there was a lot of snow today ❄☃️😊
I bet you had fun in this snow> It was nice and sticky.

Unfortunately, we are unable to supply food today due to the widespread power outages and roads being blocked around the district. Our next food delivery will be on Monday.
Oh Bentley and Harper you make our hearts so happy. We miss you so much. i know I miss Harper hugs and Bentley high high fives

Michael had an art day, he worked on his tree bark painting skills. Made the bunnies from toilet paper rolls. Painted with a plastic spoon, fork and knife. Using up the paint in his tray he used dental floss dipped it in the paint and pulled it through a folded piece of paper. He finished up with some Easter coloring. Michael, Mrs. Dunn would be so proud. I can't wait to show her these pictures. Great idea with the dental floss.

Noah and Lily decided they wanted to make dinner tonight. Their choice was a nice salad with grilled chicken. It tasted so good. Building up their strength for snow playing tomorrow ❄❄☃️
