Attention RSU 12 families! It is time to enroll for next year's preK program. If you have a child who will be 4-years-old on October 1, 2025, please contact the school in your town to ask about enrolling your child in PreK. The preK program is an all-day program and includes breakfast, lunch, and rest time as well as rich play-based learning experiences based on the PreK for ME curriculum. Each of our preK classrooms partners with Head Start. Contact any RSU 12 school for more information and to begin the enrollment process.

All schools in RSU 12 will have a two-hour delay today, Thursday, April 3rd due to the predicted freezing rain.
All RSU 12 schools will dismiss early today, March 24th, at 11:30 a.m. due to the predicted storm.
The weather forecast predicts snow starting this morning around 9 am and continuing until 2 p.m., and then an ice and rain mix. Our 2:30 dismissal will be difficult. It will be challenging to transport students home safely. Therefore, all RSU 12 schools are closed today.
The RSU 12 Board of Director's meeting is canceled for Thursday, February 13th.
All schools in RSU 12 will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 13th, due to the forecasted snow and ice storm.
The weather forecast predicts light snow starting this morning around 11 am, with heavier snowfall beginning around 1 pm. Therefore, we will have school today in RSU 12, but we will dismiss early at 11:30 am.
We are closely monitoring the forecasted snowstorm for tomorrow, Thursday, February 6, 2025. Based on current predictions, we are considering an early release at 11:30 AM tomorrow. However, if the storm's timing shifts to earlier, then a full-day closure may also be possible. We will review the latest weather updates in the morning and send out a final decision at that time.

Good morning. This is Howard Tuttle, Superintendent of RSU 12. All schools in RSU 12 will be closed today, Wednesday, December 11th. The freezing rain is predicted to last through 11 a.m. this morning.
All schools in RSU 12 will have a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, December 10th. Freezing drizzle is predicted early in the morning, making for a slippery commute. The two-hour delay will give time for roads to be treated. Please travel slowly this morning.

RSU 12's very own Mr. Howard Tuttle was named Maine Superintendent of the Year! He was quick to attribute the district's successes to the hard work of RSU 12 staff, the school board, and the RSU 12 community; but we know that it took his leadership and example to make it all happen. The RSU 12 Superintendent's Office will be closed to the public from July 22nd through July 26th. Staff members can be reached by email during that time. The office will reopen on Monday, July 29th.
The 2024-2025 RSU 12 School Budget has been approved by the voters of RSU 12. We are grateful that all RSU 12 towns have approved the school budget. We cannot thank you enough for your investment in RSU 12 students' education and future. Reminder: All High School Freshmen must have a Residency Verification Form completed before the start of the new school year. The Residency form is required for tuition purposes. The form can be found on our website, at your local town office or by contacting the Superintendent's Office. Homeschool students in our district will need to submit Notice of Intent to Homeschool or Subsequent Year of Homeschool with assessments by September 1st. If your student had a Superintendent's Agreement or an Intra District Transfer Agreement from the previous school year, please submit your request for renewal as soon as possible.
