Instructions for applying: Open positions will be filled when a suitable candidate is found, unless otherwise noted. We only accept applications through the website link above. If you are applying for more than one opening, you must submit a complete set of application materials for each position. Fingerprinting and background checks are required. There are 2 parts to the fingerprinting and background check process:

1. Register for fingerprinting, ($55.00 fee) online at https://www10.informe.org/cgi-bin/dps/fingerprint/select_type.pl

2. At the same time, download the Initial~Approval Application and mail it to the Department of Education with the $15.00 fee.

3. If you do not have access to the web, please call the Department of Education at (207) 624-6603 to register.

Applications are sent to principals or appropriate supervisors who do initial interviews. Only complete applications with requested materials will be considered for interviews. Applications are kept active for a year.

All teachers and educational technicians must have State of Maine Certification.
